Develop win-win relations
For 20 years, the Rhône-Alpes Region has been working in cooperation with fifteen or so regions across the world - in Africa, the Mediterranean Basin, Asia, the Americas and Europe - at the economic, cultural, university and even development aid levels. The aim of such cooperation is to foster the growth of exchanges based on regional competencies: territorial economic development, vocational training, and support for decentralisation. Rhône-Alpes also has an office in Brussels, at the institutional heart of Europe. The action it takes via
Entreprises Rhône-Alpes International (ERAI), the Rhône-Alpes international economic development agency (which has offices in some twenty countries worldwide), to help SMEs expand their international coverage is also crucial. Lastly, the Rhône-Alpes Region has set up a number of schemes (
