Soon, a worldwide Master “cyber-course” in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies
The Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble recently inaugurated its cyber-university of nanosciences with a video-conferencing seminar held jointly by Grenoble, Lyon, Bangalore (India) and Tomsk (Russia). This initial and successful experience was a foretaste of Grenoble's worldwide
Master cyber-course in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (N²) due to be launched in September 2009.The Master N² programme provides the appropriate background to
both fundamental and applied doctoral studies in the rapidly developing and diverse Nano areas. It also prepares student for a high-level appointment in the nanotechnology industry. This
interdisciplinary master programme in physics, chemistry and biology, equips students with in-depths knowledge in their field of study while they are being immersed in
an exceptional research environment : the international scientific community of Grenoble which includes the UJF laboratories, the Grenoble INP, the CEA Grenoble, the CNRS and major research centers such as the synchrotron (ESRF) and the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL). In June, Catalonia plays host to Rhône-Alpes

The
Rhône-Alpes in Catalonia Week was held in Barcelona from 8 to 14 June 2009. This key event was in line with the determination of Rhône-Alpes and Catalonia to
strengthen their partnership in a number of areas, especially given the economic crisis, and to extend their ties beyond the cooperation already existing between them in the context of the "
Four Motors for Europe" conglomerate. The week focused on
three main themes: the economy and innovation, culture, and promoting tourism. It also enabled the two regions to
formalise new prospects for the partnership in the fields of higher education and the mobility of young people, vocational training and transport.
At the end of the week, a Framework Agreement for Bilateral Cooperation was signed by Jean-Jack QUEYRANNE, President of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council, and Jose MONTILLA, President of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The Regional Council encourages an enterprising spirit

Business creators, buyers and leaders were all invited to make the most of
the 6th Lyon Rhône-Alpes Salon des Entrepreneurs, the business fair devoted to entrepreneurship
held on 17th and 18th June at the Lyon Conference Centre. The
Rhône-Alpes Regional Council, one of the event's founders and official partners, encouraged people who have put their enterprising ideas into practice or who are in the process of doing so to come along and find out the information needed to see their projects through. One of the items on the programme:
the best ways for regional business leaders to grow their businesses internationally.
